Outdoor fabrics are typically solution-dyed acrylic, olefin or polyester, with colour locked into the fibre so it resists UV fading. Mildew-resistant, quick-drying construction helps them handle rain, humidity and lake-side air.
Marine fabrics combine UV-stable colour, water and mildew resistance, and high abrasion ratings to survive constant sun and moisture. Use them for boat seating, cabin cushions, dock furniture and anywhere near the water.
Brush off dirt and rinse with mild soap and water; many outdoor fabrics can take a diluted bleach solution for mildew. Store cushions indoors or covered over winter to make them last much longer. Pair with outdoor-grade foam for cushions that drain and dry quickly.
Absolutely. Outdoor fabrics are a great choice for sunrooms, kids’ rooms and dining chairs, where their fade and stain resistance pays off.
